Teknor Apex Started Supplying Nylon Blanks In Europe
Teknor Apex has begun supplying the "Chemlon 500" range in Europe to meet the EU standard for nylon blanking.
Teknor Apex said at a news briefing on February 22 that these products include an engineering thermoplastic based on a nylon 66 flyback that includes a filler-free, impact-modified and glass-fiber reinforced compound.
Michael Roberts, Teknor Apex vice president of engineering thermoplastics, explains: "The compounding process is highly batch consistent and the finished product has good surface appearance and dimensional stability."
The company's engineering thermoplastics under the Chemlon brand include reinforced and specialty modified polyamides 6,66,610 and 612.
