KL Outdoor will invest $8.3 million to create more than 100 jobs at its manufacturing and distribution center in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Last year, the company announced a similar $9.2 million investment project in Michigan.
The company claims to be the world’s largest manufacturer of kayaks, producing Sun Dolphin and Future Beach kayaks, as well as surfboards and other sports and leisure products.
The Georgia State Department of Economic Development stated on April 5 that Georgia’s new jobs will be distributed in manufacturing and distribution.
KL CEO Chuck Smith said: "The expansion of the company will allow us to better serve our major customers and reduce the cost of shipping to their stores and final end users."
In August this year, the company announced that it will spend US$9.2 million to establish its corporate headquarters in Muskegon, expand production and add 153 jobs.
It is estimated that the company’s thermoforming sales are about US$35 million.
