Chinese Investors Plan To Invest In Four Plastics Recycling Plants In Serbia
Chinese investors have agreed to invest 12 million euros to build four waste plastic recycling plants, which is the first phase of a broader project. The project will establish a local plastic processing cluster in central Serbia.
Blue Sky Europe International Industry and Trade Technology, representatives of Serbian-owned Chinese companies in the region, signed a memorandum of understanding with Ninoslav Erić, Mayor of Ćuprija, last month on the plan .

Thai Group, which is controlled 75% by China National Industrial Corporation, plans to employ 500 workers during the initial development of the existing industrial zone. The Serbian news portal said it expects to complete phase one by 2019.
Mayor Ćuprija explains: "It is the first phase of building four recycling plants, and we will proceed to a further project - the establishment of an industrial park."
The four refuse collection plants will produce plastic granules to feed the newly industrialized neighborhood of the Serbian cluster.
