Bridgestone Joins The Allen MacArthur Foundation Circular Economy 100 Plan
Bridgestone Japan has joined the Allen MacArthur Foundation's "Recycling Economy 100" program (CE100) program, becoming the first Japanese company to join the program.
Bridgestone said that circular economy is the basis for the establishment of economic, natural, and social capital through the "support" of transition to renewable energy.
As part of its contribution, the Bridgestone Group provides large customers with solutions for new tires, recycled tires, services and IT tools.
The company stated that it will use the knowledge gained from its cooperation with the CE100 project to integrate the concept of circular economy into its broader business model.
Bridgestone added: “This can provide new value to customers and tires throughout their life cycle, including recycling, smarter use of materials, energy and information.”
