Axon Automotive, a British automotive parts supplier, recently relocated its startup located in Wollaston to an area of 45,000 square meters. The factory is located in Northamptonshire, 11 miles from Brackmills Industrial Estate.
The company said the move was a response to "quadruple business growth in the past two years", funded by the new parent, Bawtry Investments
On February 27, Axon announced: "Growth in export business orders is particularly strong with sales coming from non-EU customers growing."
Axon General Manager Chris Taylor explains: "With Axon's capital restructuring, with the support of our new owner, we were able to accelerate our expansion plans to meet our growing volume of orders."
According to Taylor, the new plant has enough plant area to expand production capacity and install a new production line.
He added that this route is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the middle of this year.
Taylor said larger venues will also support the expansion of the Axon project and they will also install permanent demonstration lines for their customers.
Axon Automotive manufactures "super-lightweight" automotive chassis and structural components using carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) and Axontex ™ composite beam manufacturing process technology.
The CFRP system is suitable for the production of automotive frames.
