1. Determine whether the plastic product is within the normal melt index by testing the melt index of the plastic product.
For example, the melt index of this product provided by the customer must be in a certain interval, and the result is confirmed to be in this interval, indicating that it meets the requirements. If the melt index is too large, it means that the product processed by this material has poor performance and is easy to be processed, but cracking will occur in the later stage; if the melt index is too small, the performance is better, but in the injection molding, the flow rate will be exceeded. Slow, affecting injection molding, at this time to increase the temperature or pressure during injection to adjust.
2. In mass production, different products of the same batch are sampled to determine whether the melt index is stable within a range to determine whether the batch is a qualified product. For the same batch number, different batches of incoming materials, the melt index can also be compared to determine the stability of the incoming material.
Second, the primary reference in the processing of modified plastics
1. After recycling the waste plastic, the plastic is re-formed. The primary reference is based on the melt index. Because of the fluidity of the plastic, it determines some properties of the material, such as tensile strength, elongation, and elastic modulus.
2. When looking for materials, downstream customers often refer to the supplier's physical property table, or directly indicate how much melted fingers are needed to meet production needs.
