Brief introduction:

Plant transpiration rate refers to the rate at which water is released into the atmosphere through the surface of the plant (mainly leaves) when it passes through the plant. The transpiration force of transpiration of plants is the main driving force for passive water absorption and translocation of water, which is especially important for tall trees. Transpiration can promote the transportation of substances in xylem juice, mineral salts and roots in soil. Synthetic substances can be transported and distributed to various parts of the plant along with the absorption and collection of water; transpiration can also reduce the temperature of the plants and prevent the leaves from being burned because of the high heat of vaporization of the water. A large amount of radiant heat can be lost during transpiration. The normal operation of transpiration is conducive to the assimilation of CO2. This is because when the leaves are transpiration, the pores are open, and the open pores become the passage of CO2 into the leaves. Therefore, the measurement of plant transpiration rate is of great significance for agricultural research, teaching, horticultural research, forestry research and so on.
